About Us

A family owned and run medium-sized wholesale food distribution company serving the food service and retail industries in Barbados. Sundale Foods Inc. (SFI) started its life in 1986 as a small family business. Its focus then was filling the gap in customer service in the foods wholesale and distribution industry on the island. The company steadily grew its clientele by listening to the needs of its customers, offering better service and faster delivery than the other larger players in the marketplace. Remaining true to the original focus has been rewarded with steady growth over the years. This has triggered two relocations to successively larger facilities with the current building covering over 20,000 square feet.

Our products are sourced from all over the globe from our supply partners with whom we enjoy strong enduring relationships. We treat our suppliers as honourable partners in our quest to deliver world class foods to local tables – ‘bringing great foods to you’. We source only those foods which meet our standards for being defined as ‘great foods’. We strive constantly to meet the highest standards of food safety and are currently working towards internationally recognised certification.

The year 2013 saw significant changes at Sundale starting with the acquisition of a smaller company which added retail-packaged dried fruits, coconut and cassava as well as a range of seasonings, homeopathic gels, and industrial bags to our lineup. In July 2013, a new era began with the second generation of ownership taking the helm. This year of change was rounded out with the introduction of the frozen fruit and bread lines from Europe, propelling us towards our vision of being the preferred partner of food service providers and retailers in the Caribbean.
